Signed Boston Clock Co on the original untouched 7 7/8 inch dial and on the brass movement. Original hands, original paint on the throat glass (f, original glass on lower door repainted, apparently the original pendulum, nice mahogany case in old finish on back and sides, the front doors and throat frame appear to be cleaned or refinished, a split in the upper round door as is often the case from age shrinkage across the wood grain. Weight driven, time only, eight day. Measures 28.75 x 12 x 4.25 inches overall. A great rare example, circa 1885. Good running condition. Running condition is not guaranteed once the clock is moved.
