Muirhead & Arthur 8 Day Alarm Clock: makers were from Glasgow and described as retailers. Time and bell striking with the spring encased in a large brass drum. Balance wheel movement; the bell is visible through the case’s top. The 3 1/4″ metal dial is well marked, even with the black on the letters worn. The wood looks like rosewood. The case has thick beveled glass on all sides.
