Beach Boy Southern Tour / Strawberry Alarm Clock contract and related paperwork, 1968
Four pages including a contract, two typed tour schedules and a letter relating to the Beach Boys tour expenses together with a Strawberry Alarm Clock necklace (2).
Buffalo Springfield, were the opening act and the Strawberry Alarm Clock was second billing, before the Beach Boys headlined. A point of interest is that the Strawberry Alarm Clock (SAC) had to miss three concerts in two days, they had a mistake in their schedule and had to fly to Honolulu, right after the concert on 12th to headline a concert for Dick Clark, Eric Burdon and the Animals were also playing, and then immediately fly back to join the Beach Boys Tour on the 15th. Martin Luther King had been assassinated on the 4th and when they arrived in Memphis, there was so much unrest that it was not safe (so much so that the concert was cancelled)
The group even obtained guns, just in case someone got through the bodyguards. Another item relating to the Beach Boys lists expenses, including Hotel Bills for the SAC Road Crew.
