Ca.1877 One of the earliest clocks used to advertise any product. This is the smallest sized clock to advertise the Reed’s product. Perhaps a salesmans sample. The original advertisement is reverse painted on glass. Other Reed’s Tonic clocks made later have cardboard inserts advertising the product. Original incised black case with aged paper dial. Working 14 – 1/2″ T x 5 – 1/2″.
